Privacy Policy for Longhand

Your words are your own. We're not interested in them.

Longhand doesn't collect, track, analyze, store, peek at, whisper about, or even think about the content you write. Your manuscripts, notes, and projects stay on your device, where they belong.

• No ads
• No tracking
• No analytics
• No hidden surprises

Subscriptions & account

If you subscribe to Longhand, we store a minimal account record to manage your subscription:

• Email address (used for sign-in)
• Subscription status and billing cycle
• Apple transaction identifiers (for receipt validation)

We do not store payment details—all payment processing is handled by Apple. Your account data is stored securely and is never shared with third parties.

Your writing

Your projects are plain Markdown files stored on your device. Longhand never uploads, reads, or processes your writing on any server. If you use iCloud Drive, syncing is handled entirely by Apple—we have no access to it.

Write freely. ✍️
